Preparation of new polymeric phases for thin-film liquid phase microextraction (TF-LPME) of selected organic pollutants

Thin films made of a polymer (cellulose triacetate, CTA) and plasticizer have been studied as novel sorptive phases for chlorpyrifos, triclosan tonalide. The preparation is reproducible only requires the to be added into an organic dispersion containing CTA. evaporation solvent leaves easy manipulate continuous homogeneous thin film, which has investigated in terms both composition extraction efficiency different compounds. Six plasticizers (namely dibutyl sebacate, bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, bis(1-butylpentyl) adipate, 2-nitrophenyl octyl ether 2-fluorophenyl 2- nitrophenyl ether) with chemical structure physical properties, such lipophilicity, dielectric constant viscosity, incorporated CTA matrix resulting polymeric membranes characterized by techniques (scanning electron microscopy, thermal techniques, contact angle). Preliminary tests were undertaken 0.01 M NaCl solution enriched 100 ?g L-1 each analyte study kinetics extraction. All analytes effectively extracted after 6 h all phases, kinetics. Among elutants tested, ethyl acetate provided satisfactory recovery values. membrane sebacate selected successfully applied microextraction pollutants simulated natural water, river water wastewater effluent trace concentrations (0.2–2 L-1) before GC–MS determination. overall method perform provides good reproducibility (RSD < 10%) recoveries higher than 80%.
